Welcome To "CRUISE NIGHT" - Webb City, Missouri Saturday Night, October 13, 2007!
We were on the flip side of a road trip to Chicago and back. - - We stopped at the Visit 66 Welcome Center (Pictured below) in Carterville, Missouri.
There, we found out about the last "Cruise Night" of the year going on in Webb City, Missouri. We were told that we should really see it.
We had never been to a "Cruise Night" on Route 66 . . . So . . .
|

|
We made it to Webb City about 4:00pm and went to the Bradbury Bishop
Deli - 201 N. Main St. - Went inside and had the best Root Beer Float
I've had since the 50's (when I was real little).

On with the story . . .
We got a window seat - all of us in a booth, to watch as the cars began to
come into town. Best view in the place. One by one, some of the most beautiful cars and trucks parked along
Main Street - backed up to the curb and "Bared All" for the world to see (most pictured below thanks to Paul
Michael and Jason)!

|
THERE IT WAS! . . . MY FAVORITE CAR IN THE WHOLE WIDE WORLD!
A 1958 Chevrolet Impala!
I was born in 1951 and fell in love with this car when I was 7! |

Just Look at that! |

My heart is still RACING!!

By now, we were out browsing around and listening to the music . . . these folks in Webb City had a side street blocked and a DJ was playing Music . . .
Seemed the perfect setting for a "Texas Street Dance". We really took note of this since we are also a family Band. We play Country and Oldies.
We entertained thoughts of being up there on a semi - flatbed trailer playing our hearts out - All OLDIES! WOW! We'll have to check in on playing some gigs at these "Cruise Night Street Dances"!
